What Is the Design Tab?
The Design tab is a per-quiz styling panel, separate from question logic and scoring. It controls how your quiz looks to respondents: background color, text color, button colors, an accent color, the font, and the base text size. Changes apply only to that one quiz and update in a live preview as you make them.
It sits next to FluoTest's existing Custom CSS editor, which is still there for anyone who wants full control. The Design tab is for everyone else: a fast way to match your quiz to your brand without writing a line of code.
Why This Matters More Than It Looks
A quiz left in default colors reads as a generic tool, even when the questions and scoring behind it are excellent. How to Customize Your Quiz Design in 5 Steps
1. Open the Design tab
From your dashboard, open the quiz you want to style and go to its Design tab, next to Build, Settings, and Integrations. It works the same whether the quiz is published or still a draft.
2. Pick a preset or start from scratch
Choose one of the four built-in presets (Default, Midnight, Clean Light, Sunset) as a starting point, or skip straight to setting your own colors. Picking a preset does not lock you in. You can still edit every color afterward.
3. Set your background, text, button, and accent colors
Each color has its own field: background, text, button background, button text, and accent. Match them to your brand's hex codes if you have them, or just pick colors that feel right together. The live preview updates as you type.
4. Choose a font and base text size
Pick from System default, DM Sans, Inter, Poppins, or Lora, then adjust the base text size if your questions run long or your audience skews older. Every other text size on the quiz scales from this one setting.
5. Preview, then publish
Check the live preview at both desktop and mobile widths before you publish. The changes apply only to this quiz. Nothing else in your account changes.
