What Is Lead Scoring?

Lead scoring is the practice of assigning a numeric value to a prospective customer based on their answers to a form or quiz, so you can rank, filter, and route them automatically instead of reviewing every submission by hand.

How Lead Scoring Works

Instead of a plain contact form where every submission looks the same until someone reads it, a scored form or quiz assigns points to each possible answer. A $10,000+ budget might be worth 10 points, a $500 budget might be worth 0. A decision-maker might be worth more points than someone "just researching."

Once every question has a point value, each respondent ends up with a total score. That score becomes a filter: high scores go to a discovery call, low scores get a resource page or a polite "not a fit" message, and your team only spends time on the leads worth their time.

Lead Scoring in FluoTest

In FluoTest, you assign a point value to each answer option when you build the quiz. FluoTest totals the score automatically and compares it against score tiers you define, then shows the matching outcome, sends the email you configured, and can sync the score to Brevo or your CRM through a webhook.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is lead scoring the same as a scored quiz?

A scored quiz is the tool. Lead scoring is what the tool does, assigning point values to answers so a respondent ends up with a total score.

Do I need a developer to set up lead scoring?

No, not with FluoTest. You assign points to each answer option in the quiz builder, no code required.

What can I do with a lead's score?

Route them to a different outcome message, calendar link, or resource. In FluoTest you can also sync the score to Brevo, a webhook, or a spreadsheet automatically.
