What Are Score Tiers?

Score tiers are ranges you define across the possible score of a quiz, for example 0-39%, 40-69%, and 70-100%, where each range triggers a different outcome message, action, or automation.

How Score Tiers Work

Once a quiz produces a total score, that raw number isn't very useful by itself. Score tiers turn the number into a decision: which of several possible outcomes does this particular score fall into?

A common setup is three tiers. The top tier (say, 70-100%) is your best-fit lead and sees a booking link. The middle tier (40-69%) sees a resource or a lower-commitment offer. The bottom tier (0-39%) sees a message explaining why it's not a fit right now, or gets nurtured differently. Each tier can also trigger its own email, webhook, or integration.

Score Tiers in FluoTest

FluoTest lets you define as many score tiers as you need per quiz, each with its own outcome page, email, and integration behavior. Tiers are set as percentage ranges of the total possible score, so they stay correct even if you add or remove questions later.

Frequently Asked Questions

How many score tiers should I use?

Most quizzes use two to four tiers. Fewer tiers keep the routing simple; more tiers let you personalize the outcome more precisely.

Can each score tier send a different email?

Yes, in FluoTest each score tier can trigger its own outcome message and its own automated email.

What happens if I change the questions later?

Since tiers are set as percentage ranges of the total possible score, they keep working correctly even after you add or remove questions.
