Schedule when a quiz opens and closes
Scheduling lets you run a quiz for a fixed window — a limited-time assessment, a contest entry period, an event registration. Before the open time, visitors see a "not open yet" message with the start date; after the close time, they see a "closed" message. Submissions are also refused on the server, so a direct link can't bypass the window.
- 1
Open the quiz and go to the "Publish" tab, then the "Access & sharing" section.
- 2
Under "Schedule", turn on "Opens" and/or "Closes" and pick the date and time on the calendar. Choose the timezone those times are in — it applies to both. Visitors see the open time converted to their own timezone.
- 3
Save your changes.
- 4
To customize the wording visitors see, open the "Experience" tab, then "Advanced", and edit the "Not Open Yet" and "Schedule Closed" messages under "Error Messages".
- 5
Previewing your own draft always bypasses the schedule, so you can check the quiz any time.
